Here is the story
Carlos Quintanilla demands that Hispanic Children be fed in Texas and meets with Michael Russet (Administrator of Texas Department Agriculture TDA Nutrition Programs) on July 13, 2011
Michael Russet recognizes that Hispanic Children were not being fed and agrees to allow Accion America to submit feeding sites under its already approved provider, an organization called OSP, one month after the 2011 Summer Feeding Program began..
Accion America submits comprehensive documentation for approval including, demographics, consent from apartment managers and actual Site Applications.
Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) approves the sites and feeding begins.
Accion America serves 99,675 meals during the summer of 2011 at 45 different apartment complexes throughout the Metroplex.
Accion America submits detailed documentation that it served the meals. At first they are denied.
TDA has a dispute with WAG, an organization it funded through its Executive Director Bruce Carter, WAG did not meet its goals , OSP ACCION AMERICA does.
After an extensive hearing and comprehensive review and audit, Accion America claims were allowed
To protect itself for its negligence and malfeasance, TDA takes monies owed to OSP/ACCION AMERICA resulting from the review and Audit and Illegally pays WAG, a distinct and separate corporate entity, with separate federal ID numbers, corporate registrations and separate 501.C 3 status.
An act we call illegal, irresponsible and a cover up to protect its negligence pursuant to its funding of WAG.
We now are demanding that TDA pay its obligations to Accion America, we performed, we were reviewed, we were audited and our feeding claims were upheld… our feeding program was a success.
This summer we will not serve these 100,000 meals and our Children lose.
So Pay up. TDA
